Stephen Glazer MD, FRCPC
Immediate Past President, Canadian Association of Bariatric Physicians and Surgeons
Dr. Stephen Glazer is a board-certified specialist in Internal Medicine, Intensive Care, Sleep and Bariatric Medicine, with additional expertise in cardiology, diabetes, and pre-operative risk assessment. He has served as Medical Director of Humber River Health’s Bariatric Program since 2010, where he helped build both surgical and medical treatment pathways for patients living with obesity.
A recognized leader in bariatric medicine, Dr. Glazer has numerous publications in Obesity including being the lead author of the preoperative chapter of the Canadian Adult Obesity Clinical Practice Guidelines . He is a strong advocate for recognizing obesity as a chronic disease and improving access to care for patients across Canada.
