- Understand the natural history and diagnosis of PVD
- Understand the role of dual pathway inhibition for medical risk-reduction therapy for PVD
- Define chronic limb threatening ischemia; its pathophysiology and risks to limb and life
- Understand the Canadian screening guidelines for AAA
- Identify where there is discrepancy in recommendations in clinical practice recommendations
- Identify which patients in their practice would benefit from AAA Screening

Dr Varun Kapila is the Provincial Lead for Vascular at Ontario Health and an associate medical director at Criticall Ontario. He is the President-elect for the Canadian Society of Vascular Surgery (CSVS) and the previous Site Chief of Surgery and Division Head for Vascular Surgery at the Brampton Civic Hospital at William Osler Health System. As a system leader, Dr. Kapila aims to increase quality and accountability into the health system and drive innovation to provide world-class care to all Ontarians.
