Psychiatrist and Psychoanalyst, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at University of Toronto, Consultant with the Leadership Centre for Diabetes at Mount Sinai Hospital
Dr. Barry Simon MD FRCP is a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. He is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and a Consultant with the Leadership Centre for Diabetes at Mount Sinai Hospital where he improves diabetes adherence in patients with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes. For the past two decades he has educated dietitians, family doctors and medical specialists on effective motivational and psychological strategies to improve diabetes adherence, the mental health issues in chronic illness and managing binge eating disorder.
