Patrick Tansey MD, MSc, FRCS
Patrick Tansey MD, MSc, FRCSC Dr. Patrick Tansey is a certified orthopaedic surgeon with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC). He completed his Medical Degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin. Dr. Tansey subsequently completed his post graduate training and Orthopaedic residency in the UK during which he completed his Masters in Science (MSc) in Sports Medicine from University of Nottingham in the UK. He completed his residency in Glasgow, obtaining his FRCS in 2002. Following this he did further subspecialty training in Foot and Ankle surgery in Glasgow. Dr. Tansey moved to Canada in 2005 and completed two accredited sub-specialty fellowships at University of Toronto. The first was completed in Paediatric Orthopaedics at Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, and the second in Joint replacement surgery at Toronto Western Hospital. He also completed all of the Canadian requirements and obtained his FRCSC in 2008. Dr. Tansey is currently a Foot and Ankle and Paediatric Orthopaedic surgeon at Humber River Hospital. His clinical focus is on lower limb surgery, and in particular, knee replacement, Foot and Ankle arthroscopy, Management of Diabetic foot problems, Forefoot reconstruction and Paediatric Orthopaedics.
