- Review common causes of abdominal pain in children and the red flags not to be missed
- Review investigations that can be used to differentiate organic vs functional causes of pain
- Discuss management strategies for PCPs for common conditions: functional abdominal pain/IBS, constipation
- Identify key situations that warrant urgent referral to Pediatric GI

Dr Lara Hart is a paediatric Gastroenterologist in the department of maternal child (paediatrics) at Humber River Hospital. She completed her paediatrics residency at Western University. She trained in Paediatric Gastroenterology at McMaster University and completed additional subspecialty training in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases at McGill University. She is dedicated to patient education and helping children manage their Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and other gastrointestinal conditions.
