Linda Mitton CISSP, CISM, CISA
Linda Mitton started her career in information security in 1991 with CIBC where the major requirement was to protect executive laptops when they used dialup access while travelling. Thirty years later her career came full circle when due to the pandemic she was asked to help protect executive laptops while they remotely connected to the corporate network no matter where they may be in the world.
Linda has had a varied career in information security, internal and external audit, and IT service management. Linda has:
- Acted as the Privacy Compliance Officer for KPMG Bermuda when General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) the EU rules on data protection and privacy came into effect.
- Assisted the VP of CIBC IT Internal Audit with developing the information technology internal audit strategy.
- Redesigned the information security governance for the Canadian Department of National Defence after 9/11.
- Been the Director of Security for the Atlantic Lottery Corporation.
Linda is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Information Security Manager, and Certified Information Security Auditor.
She is currently the Governance Risk and Compliance Practice Lead for Parabellyx Cybersecurity.
