The OCFP Awards recognize family physicians, family medicine residents, and medical students making a meaningful impact on patients and communities across Ontario. The award categories are:
- Regional Family Physician of the Year: Recognizes an outstanding family physician in each of the 6 Ontario Health regions for their excellence in patient care, community impact, and leadership.
- Awards of Excellence: Honours 5 family physicians who have made significant recent contributions to patient care, leadership, education, research, or innovation in family medicine.
- Family Medicine Resident of the Year: Celebrates a resident who demonstrates exceptional leadership, initiative, and commitment to family medicine and patient care.
- Medical Student of the Year: Recognizes a medical student who is an emerging leader and strong advocate for the future of family medicine.
